The music videos i have chosen are very similar to each other because they all contain cage the elephants unique randomness and also have there own unique and consistent story line, i often look for good quality videos which have good camera angles and effects and show the main singer and interact with other things.
The videos above each share a consistent randomness as you can see in each of the pictures above (in
one ear contains the singer all blue and luminous, ain't no rest for the wicked contains a man with a dress, back against the wall contains little gnomes, and shack me down contains a old man dressed as a king) but at the same time it contains its own unique story like reminiscing about youth or something along those lines because that is the sort of music they are aiming for and what i like about them.

My music video analysis.
My music video analysis
I am using cage the elephant in one ear as the song, they are an alternative rock band and there are five members.
The Relationship between lyrics and visuals, the lyrics are not the same as the visual because they are talking about how people don't understand there music and in the video there in an insane asylum which does not refer to people not understanding there music.
The relationship between music and visuals is good because it fits the visuals because the music is crazy and sings quite insane type things which is why the video is set in an insane asylum and includes scenes that are referenced to crazy, an example of this would be when he starts screaming and singing about burning down a town and at that time he is smashing up the asylum with a sledge hammer.
The song does not have any sexual themes because it is not that type of music and it does not really linger into those sort of themes and lyrics, but the theme as that are included are mature and violent themes, and also have quite mental themes due to the fact that it is set in an insane asylum.
There are allot of close ups of the band artists because they want to be seen, the company is getting at the fact that hey are rebellious and they speak there thoughts, the image of the band are like a group of people going against what other people think to make way for what they think, the video itself has no references to there previous videos but the music and what there driving at is similar to what there getting at.
This song video can relate to other music videos that are alternative rock but they do have there own style and do try to separate form the rest of the crowed and be unique, they often do try to get large aspects of the main star.
There are no sexual themes in the song because that is not the sort of music they play and crowed they try to attract they also do not ware any Pacific clothing they wear what they want, there are some times were it shows a screen through a screen but only for a short time.
This music video is both narrative based and preformance based but is more preformance based because it trying to act out like the singer is in an insane asylum and he is preforming what its is like and that he needs to get out, it also narrative based because he sings about what is going on.
My conclusion is that cage the elephant ate similar to other alternative rock bands but often do stuff there own way, they do not make there music sound like what people want it to sound like they try to make it to there own pesificateion that is why they are so different, but all together they are a well spoke rock band that have good selling albums and try to go there own way.
